Big Chief Motel

It was a great and clean place to stay. It was a gem in the middle of nowhere. The lobby is cozy and the rooms and decent amenities. The only downside was the train tracks across the road. We were not aware of that until we were awoken by trains during the night. It's not the hotels fault, but the noise was a loud surprise. I'm only mentioning this so others know. The town it's located in is a small town and had some neat things going on during th holidays. Only 2 fast food restaurants near if you are in a hurry, but there are some good taverns/ bars near. Staff was friendly!

This is by far one of the cleanest places I've ever visited. The hosts were so gracious to take us in. After hours with a pet friendly atmosphere It is a very good cozy. Stop worth the drive away from other spots that are nearby. Thank you so much.Before your hospitality.

Big Chief deserves the good ratings. It is an older location but very convenient. Our room was large, clean, and comfortable. No old motel room smell. Climate control worked great.||The breakfast worker did not show up, so the only hot food option was a waffle. There were a number of options but I don't do cold breakfast.||Front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

Positive: Very clean Negative: I thought I read free breakfast but it was actually a continental breakfast in a very small tight fitting place.

A true hidden gem. Basically out in the middle of nowhere (apologies to the town of Battle Mountain) this was a god-send on our mind-numbing drive down I-80 in northern Nevada. It was clean, modern, reasonable and dog-friendly. Wish all motels would follow their example.
