Comfort Inn Acworth - Kennesaw Northwest

This is our second stay at this hotel. We visit friends in Acworth on our way to Florida. Our room was clean, quiet and everything worked fine. The hotel is conveniently located and close to the main highway. Very reasonably priced. The staff we dealt with were polite and helpful. I have read reviews with complaints about the food, etc. If you want a fancy breakfast with free trade French press coffee, might I suggest you drive to downtown Atlanta and spend several hundred dollars a night on a swanky hotel with a doorman or something. Otherwise, this place is fine.

Room was fine but bathroom vanity faucet gushed water from valve, there were no safety grab bars to enter/exit tub and vent fan was excessively noisy. Breakfast buffet was not adequately serviced, guest had to go to front desk to request milk decanter be refilled, automatic coffee machine was short of stock. Ambiance was like eating in someone's garage or basement.

Great hotel. Conveniently located. Very, very clean. However, be warned that the hotel charges a refundable deposit upon checking in. The deposit is not a big issue, but nobody tells you about it when you make your reservation. They don't tell you until you get there. So make sure you have the extra money.

Positive: Breakfast was freshly made every day. The staff was kind and helpful. Close to everything we needed to visit. Negative: The room smelled/felt very humid/damp and there was a a bit more dust then I?d expect from a hotel but nothing too bad (writing this in case somebody has dust allergies).

Everything was very clean, that is only good thing I can say about this particular hotel. The majority of the electrical outlets did not work, not good when you need multiple charging stations for all digital age things everyone now travels with; telephones, watches, computers, tablets, hearing aids, etc.. Water pressure was terrible in bathroom, overhead light did not work, and fan was very noisy. Last kicker, the room phone did not work when we tried to call front desk to notify them of problems.
