Columbine Cabins

Cougar Cabin. Awww yeahhhh! Rooms were very nice. Gail was extremely accommodating and friendly. Dog friendly location and hot tub was hot and very soothing. I was also fortunate enough to have the cabin right in front of the hot tub.Will come back again for sure.

These rustic cabins are modest and the located right outside the Rocky Mountain NP but our stay was very unpleasant to put it mildly.||We were a family of four adults and our cabin was called 'The Trout'. There was one queen bed and two sofa beds and so we needed to use them all but one of the sofa beds had stains of bodily fluids on its mattress and sheet. The other one looked so shabby as if it was not cleaned in years and the queen bed had an unpleasant smell. The landlady changed the stained sheet and rejected our request to change the stained mattress!! We'd have packed and left but my aged parents were with us and we were exhausted after a long day in the park and it was past 8 pm when we noticed the problem.||Other things - bathroom is very tight. I had such a great experience at Columbine Cabins — the cabins are clean, comfortable, and really well put together. Gayle was hands-down one of the friendliest and most helpful hosts I’ve met; she made sure everything was perfect from check-in to check-out and gave great local tips. The whole property has that cozy, mountain-town vibe with easy walking access to shops, lakes, and the town itself, which made the whole trip even better. You can tell she genuinely cares about her guests and takes pride in keeping everything neat and inviting. My husband and I stayed here from Monday night 8/18 into Thursday morning 8/21 in the Elk cabin. Upon arrival the owner/host started rattling off the rules AND gave us a book of said rules, which after a long drive - it seemed like a bit much. Honestly just let guests read it on their own and ask questions later. You better follow the rules upon check out or you will face cleaning fees. The cabin is very basic. You get a small bedroom (kudos for a comfortable queen bed), decent living space, small kitchen and an even tinier bathroom. I would not stay here if you have a group bigger than 2 people. I’m not sure if there are other cabins for larger groups, but if there are, those would be more suitable. Even as a petite female I had a hard time maneuvering in the bathroom. I was always ru

Old school look . 80's stiles, but super quiet best night sleep I've had in years . Host is super laid back and extremely friendly . Kitchens are available in individual cabins also fire pit ,hot tub and gas grills . Nice clean place .
