Colonial Traveler Inn

I went to Saugus,MA to spend some time with my girlfriend. We were looking for a clean place to stay in for the weekend, and after reading some reviews from a nearby motel called FERN'S(AVOID IT AT ALL COST,IT'S VERY DIRTY), we decided to stay at Colonial Traveler's Motor Court at a friends request. The people at the front desk are extremely nice and made us feel at home right away. They even walked out with us and led us to our room. They have a quiet 24 room motel, and besides it being real nice, they are extremely clean on the inside. We stayed in room 24, which was the last room on the hallway to the right, and the bathroom was really beautiful as well as the bed. It was really cozy and romantic, and the maids actually called before going to clean instead of the constant knocking

I like this place. Its family run for 55 years, clean, non-smoking, and inexpensive. I stay at Marriotts and Hiltons all across the country for work, but I am here visiting family and the main brand hotels were ridiculously expensive in Boston. Some people may not like this motel if you are used to the Ritz, but I am frugal and like a nice, clean place to stay. This place provides all the basics.||Mattress is OK and didn’t hurt my back in any way. Water pressure is great and water is hot. Walking around in white socks revealed some carpet dirt, but I find that at marriotts also. No coffee maker in the room, but their breakfast room has coffee, muffins, etc. ||I will be back. I think it is great value for the money.

My family so much enjoyed staying there. We stayed for two days and rooms are so nice and clean. The staff are so nice and help us feel better we got robbed over the weekend and they made us feel like they cared. Great place to stay and will go back .

This place passed the clean sheet and clean bathroom test, but failed miserably on the clean carpet and noisy neighbors test. The carpet was old....very old.....and smelled like urine near the bed. It looked clean enough, but, the smell told another story. There were people (obviously) living there permanently, which is fine if that's what they have to do. But, they do not have to allow children to run, unsupervised, up and down in front of the rooms and around other peoples cars in the parking lot. Had to call management twice to get them to stop the noise......and got attitude from the night manager. Wasn't an entirely horrible stay....but, it will be the last stay for me.
