Colonial Motel

wish I could say something positive about this place, but unfortunately, my experience was overwhelmingly negative. While the property itself has some charm and could have been a nice stay, the behavior of the owner/manager/front desk person completely ruined it. From the moment we arrived, things started going downhill. One of the most alarming moments was when the owner walked into our room uninvited while my young son was sleeping. This was not only a huge invasion of privacy, but it was incredibly unsettling for us. My son was startled awake, and when we tried to address it with him, there was no apology, just a casual brush-off as if this was no big deal. I don’t think I need to explain how disturbing that is when you're staying somewhere that’s supposed to be safe and comfortable.

This is truly a gem of a motel! The rooms are clean and neat and the kitchenettes are perfect for those who don't like to eat out all the time. The owners are the friendliest and most accommodating people. It's relaxing to sit on the porch and enjoy the view of the lake. The owner even gave my husband and me a tour of the most recently renovated rooms, which are totally cute with fresh paint and lake themed decor. You can't go wrong staying here, highly recommend.

This is a nice place to stay if you are going to be in the area awhile. The motel is clean and the rooms with the kitchenette are roomy. It is a little dated, but this didn't bother us at all. The owners were friendly and the patio was a great place to have a community night cap around a warm fire. The owners have a nice stash of firewood for your use and we met some charming folks on our brief overnight visit. We would definitely come here again. There is no breakfast offered, so be prepared to make your own meals or eat out at some of the lovely restaurants in the area.

Great location for what we needed. The kitchenette room was very nice. There was a stove, refrigerator, microwave and sink. Well stocked with utensils, pot,pans,dishes and glasses. Very clean with a nice recliner love seat. The shower was great. The Innkeepers were amazing and very friendly. Would highly recommend this motel.

Please tell me how anyone can say this was a "well stocked" Motel. There were ZERO cupboards for any type of food storage. The items (coffee maker and filthy toaster) that were included in this room were crammed next to the sink. One had to move the the coffee maker or toaster to use them. I still say, having the dishes, silverware, drinkware, stored beneath the sink was of utmost unsanitary use for the space. Now, if one wanted to use the refrigerator for dry goods storage, "THAT" was the only storage for any food. Oh wait, maybe you want to store your dry goods in the dresser that is in the "bedroom" area. I honestly DO NOT see how anyone could stay here comfortably for any amount of time and leave saying it was well stocked. Oh wait, you must like living out of your vehicle! This was
