Colonial Motel

Only stayed here bc it was one of the major filming locations for the movie Twisters and i am a sucker for finding movie filming locations. The pool does not exist in real life but was constructed for the movie and then filled in after the filming was completed. Evidence remains due to fresh dirt where the pool was filled in. So if you want a pool this place doesn't have one. But if you want a bit of blockbuster movie nostalgia.....well this is your place! As a side note, the rodeo scene was constructed right across the street in an open lot. As with the pool, it was deconstructed after filming wrapped. Virtually Zero Evidence of it today.

Called got hung up on. Called back, got grunts as a answer. Only words he said that was more then a grunt was $80s. I was going for 2 nights. Just save yourself the problem of even calling these people.

The staff was unfriendly. You're not allowed to have guests so if your in town to visit someone, don't invite them to your room. The decor is very outdated. And if you park too close to the door of your room the staff will say you're on the "sidewalk" and they don't like that. But there are no "bumpers" in the parking spaces. Too high-priced for what they offer.

If the rats don't over charge you here, the roaches will steal the rest of your dough. No maintenance on room interior, no cleaning from hotel maids, I don't recall there being breakfast but I ran for the door so quick I can't be sure.

This place is Okay. They dont harass you about things...they let u be. Havent seen any bugs ( like cockroaches or bed bugs). And I've stayed in two different rooms. The bathroom were pretty clean as well. Didnt have mold in either bathroom...looked newly renovated. The carpets, however, are nasty and sticky ( more so in one of the rooms). So if staying here...u might want to bring ur slippers and ur own towels and pillows and TP...if u got all that...its not so bad.
