Cold Spring Campground - Gunnison RD (recgovnpsdata)

Spent one night here and it was very peaceful. The one downside is it’s right next to the road so you do hear traffic. We camped in site 1 and had plenty of shade and trees to hammock on. Clean pit toilets and a dumpster to throw away garbage as well as picnic tables and a fire ring. 14$ per night bring cash or a check, $7 if you have a senior or access pass. Smaller campground that’s more centered towards tent camping or smaller campers like vans which is great since there were no giant rigs with generators running 24/7. River access just across the road if you’re looking to do some fishing. Our site was right next to the Boulder field so we enjoyed watching pikas all evening and saw a fox right at sunset.

This was a great area in the Gunnison forest along taylor river. Had some of the biggest camping spaces and plenty of room. Each site had a fire ring and picnic table. There are vault toliets but no water, however it's only a 3 min drive up to lodgepole which does have water. Would love to stay here again

Small, but inexpensive campground. Plenty of space for two tents.

This whole area on the Cottonwood Pass is breathtaking. This campground is primitive with vault toilets

Nice place for picnic.
