Campfire Ranch on the Taylor

This is the best "Mom camping" experience ever! Firewood and water are included, pancakes on Sundays, clean sites & bathrooms, & amazingly helpful staff!! This takes the stress and a lot of the work out of camping & is only 25 min away from Crested Butte. We will definitely be back!

Stayed in a 2 bdr/1ba cabin June 23-26, 2022. The cabin was clean, quaint, had a small kitchen that seemed decently supplied. 50 ft away was the Taylor River which people fished. ||New owners have already done a lot of upgrades and refurbishment and continue to do more. Their cafe which includes a bar was almost ready to open and their back deck with BBQ and large fire pit were open. It overlooks the river. The staff and owners seemed excellent. ||It's only 10-12 miles to the cut town of Crested Butte and across the street are stables where you can horseback ride ($85 for 2 hrs). Im an active adult with minimal horse experience and did the intermediate level horse ride and it was beautiful, well guided, a little challenge included, and very fun. ||A great price. I'd stay here again.

We recently camped here and loved it. Wyatt checked us in and made sure we were set up. He really made us feel welcome! They also give welcome bags that are nice. This is a nice place to camp. The campsites are clean with a good amount of space and the bathroom is regularly cleaned. Also very dog friendly! You can also hear the Taylor River while you sleep. Would definitely consider camping here again!

We stayed here for closing weekend with a group of 8. The sites were great, bathrooms were clean and the staff was awesome and friendly. They cooked us a 5 star breakfast and provided valuable info for our stay in the canyon. 10/10 recommended!

Fantastic camping experience! There is firewood to use, clean bathrooms and super friendly staff. Depending on your campsite, the parking may be further away which isn't fun for setting up but makes for a quieter experience without the sound of car doors in the evening. The location is beautiful and close to Crested Butte. Pricier than normal camping but so easy to reserve and a solid experience plus Sunday pancake breakfast. Wyatt had amazing suggestions for the area and even outside of Colorado. Would recommend!
