The atmosphere is the best in the valley. However the food seems to have gotten worse and worse over the last 4 years. The southwest chicken sandwich was one of the best I had ever had. (4 years ago). Since that time the quality has slowly dropped off. The sandwich I got tonight was almost inedible. The chicken was way over-cooked and super dry, the sauce has been changed and definitely not in a good way, and there wasn’t even a pickle. I have had way better chicken sandwiches at Dairy Queen and didn’t have to pay $18 for it. Also, we got the chicken tenders for our kids and exactly one bite was taken out of each of them - they were not good. Not sure how someone messes up chicken tenders but they definitely accomplished that. I love eating here and want to continue to support your busin
Quality is failing after new ownership. They changed the cabin we rented to a smaller cabin without telling us. We found out upon arrival. one guest had no bed. We asked for compensation, they said the replacement was adequate. This was August of last year. We booked a cabin this year at a different facility.
This place used to be amazing. They had a full fly shop. The bar/restaurant was lively and always full. You could talk and relate to the local seeming employees. But something has changed, I’m guessing new ownership. Now it’s empty every time I’ve been there. The fly shop is gone. Many of the employees have the people and communication skills of a rock. You can’t converse, connect, or relate to these workers. What happened to the local feeling employees that represent the area? The current employees know nothing about the area and absolutely nothing about the lifestyle, and it is billboard obvious. 3 Rivers is the complete opposite of all of this and after 10 years with Almont we’ve switched over to them. Keep your labor savings and awkward customer service, I’m supporting 3 Rivers, an
Stopped at the almont for a spot of dinner after a day of hiking in the area. Food far better than we could have hoped for and truly hit the spot. The head chef, Robert, was beyond courteous and welcoming when we caught up with him later that evening. 10/10 recommend. Service was good.
I don’t know what happened to the huevos rancheros. It use to be so substantial and today I left hungry. It was basically a bean and egg quesadilla. No chorizo, no potatoes, no presentation. Everyone who didn’t order huevos looked like they had a hearty meal.
