Club Quarters Hotel Downtown, Houston

My experience at Club Quarters Houston is being very disappointing, and unfortunately I have to stay here until March 5th. The front desk staff is not welcoming at all — she doesn’t even make eye contact while speaking to me. I arrive with three large suitcases, and no one offers assistance. I have to go back and forth twice to bring all my luggage up to my room, no kindness or welcoming. The WiFi is the slowest I have ever experienced in a hotel, making it very difficult to work or stream anything. On top of that, the TV does not work properly for streaming or even checking the forecast, the hotel already knows about this issue, yet they assign me a room without mentioning it. We loved our stay here! The hotel’s location in the middle of downtown was super convenient for getting around. ||The room was clean, cozy, and even had a small kitchenette with pots, plates, and cutlery — really handy for quick meals. The bathroom was spotless and had all the essentials. The staff and housekeeping team were so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Shoutout to our housekeeper - Yarely!!||We’ll definitely be back on our next trip to Houston!

There was a strange man angrily knocking at my door and the door beside mine, and I called the front desk and the woman was extremely rude after I was just trying to explain the situation thoroughly. Safety of guests should be important to the front desk staff, not brushed off. On top of that the phone and TV in the room did not work. Would not recommend. Housekeeping did a great job but other than that, absolutely not.

I liked the hotel overall and it does its job well. The service is good and the staff is friendly. A very convenient plus is the free coffee and water. The location is great if you’re visiting downtown Houston, as it’s very close to everything. The only downside is that it can be a bit noisy — you can hear ambulances and the train, so it might be an issue if you’re a light sleeper. Overall, it’s a good option because of the location and service, as long as you don’t mind some noise.

At about 50% of the price of hotels nearby, this was a solid option. Was my room a little dated and worn? Yes, but it was clean and comfortable. Lots of restaurants nearby as well as the light rail. Staff was helpful and courteous. I’d definitely stay here again.
