I LOVE Alexander Lake Lodge. It's an absolutely ideal setting, right on the lake, with cute cabins that are all unique and clean. The staff is attentive and engaging, more like family than a simple desk-clerk experience. I've now stayed twice, each time in a different cabin, and I can't wait to go back. When I do, I won't even think about staying anywhere else because this is EXACTLY what a cozy cabin on the lake should be.

Got kicked out for asking for another server than that grumpy old guy that other reviewers discuss. It seems family is more important than customer service. I encountered the same treatment while living in Russia. Keeping a grumpy rude family member employed was more important than keeping paying customers. We won't return of course and I warn others in Grand Junction. We've eaten there many times and rented a cabin once with the same rude treatment. This event was in the summer of 2025.

What a wonderful quaint little lodge and cabins! Ana, her daughter Jackie and entire family were very welcoming and friendly! We were in cabin #2 and it was perfect for our needs. The back porch and views were fabulous. If there was anything you needed Ana was there to help. The breakfast and homemade polish sausage were fantastic. Would recommend bringing your own grill and ice chest with ice as none available up on mesa.

We stopped here to get out of a wet snowstorm while dirt bike riding. Fantastic restaurant with a Polish focus and a super friendly & hospitable couple in charge. Great place to warm up.

We were driving the mesa, spending a day enjoying all the gorgeous views. One website we read said the lodge had great waterfront views so we decided to stop for lunch. The owner Ana was so very warm and quite the hostess. She talked with us throughout our entire lunch sharing stories of her family and Colorado. We ordered the sausage and pierogies which were homemade and fantastic.
