Clarion Pointe Raleigh Midtown

Stayed 2 nights...first night was OK, no issues. After check in at 8 pm, the desk clerk walked us to room and made sure it was acceptable. Second night started out fine, then at 11:30 a group of I don't know how many started a party in the hallway with loud voices and what sounded like a boom box. After 40 minutes called front desk, but no help. Also creepy people lurking outside.

Positive: It was the only option available & the bedding at least seemed clean. Negative: Everything. Awful stay. Filthy, noisy, smelled like marijuana & garbage, elevator was out of order, staff was indifferent, and now having trouble getting my deposit back, although they claim the $50 hold was removed.

The rooms were decent and the staff working there is also polite and courteous. Seems like there is new management starting to take over the hotel and are changing stuff around. The new thing we found this time around is the security deposit. We don't mind paying it and understand why the hotel has to do so. Because of some bad customers I guess everyone pays the price. We did get the deposit back after they checked the room when we were leaving. For the price we paid the hotel is overall good and also has many eating options around. Will stay if back in the area.

Need to have the local police department raid the building. Drug deals and prostitution is rampant in the hotel. The hotel needs a deep cleaning. The hallway walls and floors are filthy. The bedding needs new sheets. The sheets were stained. Pest control is desperately needed.

Clean rooms, comfortable beds, and friendly, helpful staff. Check-in was quick and the location is convenient with plenty of parking. The area feels safe, and the room had all the basic amenities needed for a short stay. Some common areas could use minor updates, but nothing that affected the overall experience. A solid and affordable stay for the price.
