Clarion Pointe Durham Research Triangle Park

Me and two others chose this hotel at the last minute and was able to get a room. It was pretty clean except for the pillow left behind the chair. No one knows how long it’s been there and we didn’t touch it. The beds were good but only had two sheets on them. No comforter or anything else on it. Good thing it wasn’t really hot out because the air didn’t half work. The phone we found out wasn’t plugged in or anything after trying to call the front desk for towels. I had to use my cell to do that only to find out that they didn’t even have extra towels available to give. Mind you, it’s the three of us and this was a double bed room but only had towels for two people. I thought all hotels had 4 towels, 4 wash cloths, and 4 hand towels for each room regardless. You had to fidget with the toil

The hotel has a strange smell, and appears to be worn out. The surrounding and the parking lot does not look good either. |The coffee machine did not work. We told the cleaning staffers to come back at 11am, but no one came. The breakfast was better than we expected.

Stayed ON 11/09/25 TO 11/10/2025. They had pretty good food which included eggs and link sausage. We were eating in the little dining room and a roach was crawling down the wall at the entrance to the room where the food is prepared. The sheets had several holes in them. The microwave had a crack in the door. This is an older motel that was not refurbished very well. I don't think we will stay at this motel again. There are many more motels to choose from in the area.

Hotel was pretty horrid. I know it is hard to keep up with a franchise so large, but there were definitely so things that needed to be fixed. I will not write a whole “schpeel” However, somethings to take the time to fix for future guests. Shower faucets, cigarette smell removal, or “stale odor”, correct rooms based on what guests ordered during reservation, some sort of blankets on the bed, more modern fixtures and a better clean by housekeeping.

I NEVER thought I would EVER post a negative review about ANY Choice Hotel, EVER. I stay at different Choice hotels several times a month for YEARS!! My husband has worked as an executive managing several brands INCLUDING over 100 Choice hotels.But this was the WORST experience I have EVER HAD with a hotel...ANY HOTEL!! First the pictures must have been 20 years old or just taken at a different hotel. I asked for a 1st floor if one was available. Have Congestive Heart Failure and was not well. I stepped foot in the most filthy, disgusting room I've ever seen and saw immediately that the door had been kicked in and the lock had been forcibly removed... THERE WAS NO LOCK AT ALL. I immediately turned around and got back in my car and drove to the lobby to change rooms. Didn't even co.plain a
