City View Inn & Suites

Fantastic hotel! The man at the desk was super nice and friendly. We were in town for the Paul McCartney concert on a festival weekend, so parking was scarce and pricey. He made sure we had a spot the whole weekend. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. Super easy walking distance to the Dome and Riverwalk. Overall maybe the best stay I've ever had at a hotel. Will definitely return. Thank you so much!

The male employee at check-in was very friendly. The lobby is very small. When we entered the room, we noticed that the air conditioner controller on the wall was coming out. We took a picture immediately and showed it to the employee. He said that it was non-functional anyway so no problem. We just didn't want to be charged for it being broken. The room was clean and updated and enough room for two people. It was on the top floor as we requested. The refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, wi-fi, and air conditioning all worked properly. Lighting was good. Water temperatures and pressure we're fine. The bed was okay, large, clean but a little firm. The pillows are half sized. Parking can be limited if busy. Positive: Staff was exceptional. It was in an excellent location. I felt safe and it was clean. Negative: There wasn't very much parking. Bring your own toiletries. Overall great for the price.

We got off of Amtrak and called around to see if we could find a room. This place was inexpensive and convenient. We can see the Amtrak train from our room!! The front desk clerk was so very nice and helpful. We will make this our designated place to stay when we ride in on Amtrak!

Overall a good stay for your money. Would come back again. Some notes from our stay: • Our room was very clean and tidy, thankfully. No bugs or smells. Plenty of towels. Working A/C and heat unit. • The cleaning crew did not tidy up our room or take out our trash our whole stay (3 nights). Very disappointed. • The whole lobby and elevator had a smell every time we were there. Could use an air purifier. • The key stopped working before checkout at 11 AM. Made it annoying to pack up the car. • TV had little to choose from. Half of the channels were audio-only.
