City Express by Marriott New Orleans I-10

I stayed at the City Express in New Orleans for a recent business trip. The hotel is new and the staff was so nice and friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable and I loved the empanadas that they have at breakfast. Just a quick ride into downtown for some downtime activities.

This hotel is the worst I've ever seen. The outside and lobby was ok, but the moment we stepped off the elevator, all you smelt and saw was mold. It was hot and muggy on the floor. Entire walls and room doors covered in mold. The ac vent and wall was full of mold, and they painted over the mold in the room. Our room door would not close and lock completely. There were no towels in the room, the pillows were filthy and disgusting, and the staff and customer service was pathetic. They showed no care or concern as we attempted to resolve our issues. This hotel should not be open, and people should not have to pay hard earned money to sleep in a mold infested hotel room. This is a serious health hazard. We did not stay one night in that hotel. The stay was OK, but left some things to be desired. When we arrived, there were no bath towels or washcloths in the room. When we requested, we were told that the hotel was short. We did get some. It was a week long stay, and each day we had to request towels, and often there was a 30-min. to several hours' wait. We learned to ask in the morning, and we would likely have them by evening although sometimes they forgot. I have never had an experience before where a hotel does not have enough linens. For this reason alone I would not be able to give this hotel a high recommendation, because it is such a basic issue. From other Google reviews, we clearly were not the only ones who had this problem. There's something wrong with the management of the hotel when something so basic is an ongoing

We stayed at City Express and it was a good option for the price we paid. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was decent. The front desk team and staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. Overall, a great budget-friendly choice in New Orleans. Free parking and breakfast included.

The entrance had people sitting in cars in robes smoking weed. Trash thrown out on the ground by patrons. The appeal could have been better.The staff was very kind. The refrigerator didn't work. We called at night to let them know. The maintenance team was very quick. They came up the next morning.the bathroom was lacking appeal. No kleenex in the box, rust around the bottom of tub and around the doors. The caulking coming off around the shower. There were no hot water. The bathroom was like a death trap. We go take a shower we sneezed the whole time while taking in there. We had to deal with the smell of weed blasting thru the vents the whole stay. Advised the staffing who stated the housekeeping team will let them know so they can address it. Sure ok.. is my thought. I know next time I
