Circle S Motel

A little history here before I begin my review. This review is from my time that my family and I moved to Colorado in 1984 when my parents were assigned to Fort Carson, Colorado. We stayed at the Circle S motel for about a month until my parents found a house to rent through Merit Reality Company. With that said. At the time the rooms were clean, and service was okay. The weekly rates were fair even though my parents were reimbursed by the military. Not much in the way of activity for teenagers at the time except for a teenage club called the "Manhattan club" that closed in 1985. Even met my ex-girlfriend downtown in said club. Lol. The rooms are older but clean. The owner is AMAZING. She keeps the unsavory people away. The noise is minimal and it's in a great central location. I have been here many times and HIGHLY recommend it.

This is a 50s or 60s motel that has been renovated but still definitely has that old-fashioned feel. Definitely not a bland, corporate environment. The room was comfortable and not noisy (except for the air conditioner) although it's on a busy street. It was hot outside and we were glad to take a dip in the little pool. Caveat: although our room was nonsmoking, there were people smoking in front of their own rooms so it was hard to avoid completely. The fabulous retro motel sign is being fixed. Would love to see it lit up. I forgot to ask what "Circle S" means...

I needed to stay in town unexpectedly, and I didn’t have a credit card… this motel will let you pay with cash and a small deposit. I had stayed here before, so I knew the area and the motel already, but I think the owners were different. Anyway, it was 75 a night plus a “deposit” of 20 bucks. Kinda high for the area, but I really couldn’t complain. The room is old, but clean, the bed is ok and the bathroom is clean. Once you are in your room, you are good. There are lots of eating establishments, shopping, and this motel is close to all of the touristy stuff. That being said, I would not bring the whole family to stay- nothing against the motel, it’s the area. If you are looking for a convenient place to stay and you are able to defend yourself, great! One of the best motels I have stayed in! Very clean, up to date rooms. Friendly staff, beds are comfortable, 42 inch TVs are extremely nice!! Comes with a Fridge AND a Microwave!! My children loved the outdoor pool. It is close to many attractions downtown. Easy to get in and out of when staying. I dealt with Renee, she was one of the friendliest staff members that works there. Great family owned business!!!! Won't stay anywhere else when visiting again. Thank you Circle S!!
