Chicago South Loop Hotel

The hotel was fairly clean. Bed/bedding was clean and comfortable. Upon entering the room, one of the mirrored closet doors was off the tracks and leaning against the wall. No big deal, I’m handy and was able to reinsert it. The soap dispenser in the bath was empty, but they had two full ones on the edge of the tub with the lids off. I asked twice about morning coffee. There was NEVER coffee and the nearest coffee shop was over 8 blocks away. Our last day, there was a half full bottle of Svedka vodka. (I thought about a few swigs). A loogie in the elevator was there for 48 hours. You get what you pay for?

Positive: The staff was nice and there was a cool dog working. The bed was comfortable and clean. Negative: The hotel was dirty, vending machines broken, a funky smell throughout, the curtains had burns/tears and the black-outs were hanging from the track, carpet stains, broken chair, bathroom had gnarly stuff in the corners, and the elevators barely worked.

Very disappointed with our stay. The only positive thing was that the room seemed cleaned and the tub was big. Basically all other amenity’s that said were offered weren’t available, Our TV didn’t work, room phone was broken, same with the elevators, bathing soap dispensers were empty in the bathroom and to top it off breakfast was very poor and where they were cooking it was NOT clean! Wouldn’t even pay $50 a night to stay at a place like this. There was one worker that seemed like he actually cared about the issues and he is appreciated.

This is my 2nd visit to this Hotel Friday 3/6/2026 &:the room is really nicer than I expected...clean mirror's, new carpeting, newer drapes, TV - cable working...& Of course the Free parking...I definitely wanted to give the proper kudos this time around to housekeeping!! ( Rock Stars) & a polite front desk employee...please keep up the good work! My boyfriend & I will definitely be back!

Arrived at hotel let it be known there was a deposit. This isn’t out of the ordinary so no big. First swipe comes out on my husbands card but they don’t see it in their end second swipe same thing. Was told it would be several days before we seen the deposit back on the card. We were irritated but like okay let’s still make the best of it. Get in first elevator out of order that’s ok cause there is another one. We go to hurry up because we have somewhere we need to be. Go to get in the shower. There is dried up conditioner all over handle of the shower. Also the bathroom floor is sticky. Went to ask if I can have someone come and re clean my room and change sheets was met with attitude. Then when they came to the room and verified it was indeed not cleaned. They didn’t want to change the s
