A boutique hotel in the French Quarter is way better than any corporate high rise on Canal Street. This hotel has a perfect location: a few blocks from Bourbon, a few blocks from Jackson Square, two coffee shops within 1-2 blocks. There were no buskers in this area as it starts to become residential very near to here. It's a low-frills place to stay, but it's lovely, clean, and very safe, even after dark. I have to say, I am glad we got an interior courtyard view as opposed to a balcony facing the street so that it was a little quieter in that regard. The beds were comfy though the pillows had seen better days. The staff was extremely accommodating and helpful. Take their advice when they tell you to get to the airport extra early, or to take an umbrella! They KNOW. The only downside of
This hotel was amazing! The room was lovely, clean and very comfortable. Great amenities and awesome house keeping. The location was perfect and convenient.|I read a lot of reviews for the Chateau raving about Ms. Elaine and she has really lived up to the hype! She was so friendly and welcoming, helpful and genuine. She goes above and beyond and you can tell she loves her job and loves people. |Thank you Ms. Elaine for making our trip so special and memorable. You are the best!!
I loved my stay. Staff was warm and friendly. Perfect location near great restaurants. Definitely plan to stay again.
We had such an amazing stay! After hearing some great recommendations I had decided to try and get a room with you due to some issues with our original hotel. I was pleasantly surprised you had an opening and it only got better when we arrived. You have a gem of a space and steward it well! Every single team member we came in contact with made us, truly, feel at home. Thank you for such a great experience and we can't wait to see everyone again soon!
we recently stayed at The Chateau and had a pretty mixed experience. the biggest issue was the room itself — it felt musky and humid as hell the entire stay. being in New Orleans, where it’s already hot and humid year-round, you really count on your room to be a cool, dry escape. unfortunately, the thermostat didn’t seem to help at all. no matter how low we set it, the air felt damp and heavy. the water pressure was also extremely low — barely more than a trickle — which made showering pretty frustrating. that said, i have to give credit where it’s due: the front desk staff were wonderful. they were kind and welcoming. customer service definitely wasn’t the problem here. the staff made a great impression, but the humidity and lack of water pressure made it hard to fully enjoy the stay.
