Cerca Del Mar Motel

I've stayed at worse. The best part of the hotel was the fact that it was inexpensive compared to others in the area and it's within close walking distance to the beach. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. But it's clear that the hotel is in desperate need of renovation as the rooms while not falling down around us were definitely showing signs of years of wear and tear. Also, frustrated that one of the selling points was a mini kitchen yet provided no cooking or eating equipment of any sort.

Location was good. It’s located as stated 3 blocks away from the beach. This place is a little run down and the stairs have a strong urine smell. The beds were good and so was the size of the room. Staff was friendly. Place may need modernization but overall it ok if you are in a pinch.

The room was clean but really outdated. There iwas one roach upon arrival, but I was there 4 days and didn't see another. It's a cheaper hotel on the beach, reading the reviews, you pay for what you get. I didn't hate my stay, I completely expected it to be a whole lot worse. The pool was nice. The elevator was incredibly slow, but working. Don't expect super luxury and your needs will be met. I was satisfied with my stay, even seeing the roach, I would book again. It's two blocks away from the beach and walking distance to a lot of things.

Don’t waste your money. This place used to be great, but they have not kept up with maintenance these past few years. So many things were broken and/or dirty in our hotel room. They told us the pool would be open during our stay, and it was not. Broken ice machine. There were also BED BUGS!!!! Incredibly overpriced as well.

It's cheap, and it technically provides what you need from a hotel. That being said, go into it knowing that you get what you pay for. It's clean, but very poorly maintained. There's a kitchenette, but no supplies for using it. There is central AC, but it doesn't keep the rooms equal temperatures. You get the idea. ...but if you're looking to save money and enjoy your time away from the hotel, this'll do.
