Castaway Motel

We usually visit the area 2-3x per year staying 1-6 weeks at a time. Castaway Motel and a few more other properties are always our picks when we are in the area and we had been coming to Castaway for at least 10 years. The previous management had taken good care of us but unfortunately they moved on to another property in Anaheim. We came here because of the previous nice management and the newer rooms were nicer BUT we like the location of the other options. We had always taken care of the rooms with respect and kept it clean with every single visit. We decided to give the new management a chance. Unfortunately, every single time, they gave us a reason for not giving us our preferences for the room request even though we are staying 4 nights. We are pretty easy going so we just took

I visited Orange Couny, California at the end of September 2022, and stayed at the Castaway Hotel in Orange, California. The location was great. There were many restaurants and stores witin walking distance. It was only about ten minutes away from Disneyland, and had easy access to major highways, such as the 5. But the service was horrible. There was literally no housekeeping at all at the hotel. They provided me with two towels and washcloths for the whole week and never replaced them. I only had two rolls of toilet paper, and had to ask the front desk for another one. I ended up buying my own toilet paper. Plus there was a huge dent in the shower, and the lights in the hotel kept flickering on and off. I would not stay there again. I know that we may be in a pandemic, but it

Positive: Location Negative: Manager knocked on our door at 10pm as we were asleep to tell us our car was parked on the line and to move it. Many empty spaces. We arrived late.

We were here a few weeks ago. Nice room, great location for us working girls. Room was clean, no complaints. Just gotta wear the right outfits to go out for fun.

Stayed here as a last minute decision. I took a chance since it was so cheap in price on Expedia. We checked in very late and the gentleman was nice. Very simple, the rules were on the window and he repeated them as well. We had room 212, upstairs. Getting in it smelled like fabulouso so we knew it was cleaned. I check the bedding, no stains or dirt, no bugs, nothing noticeable under a flashlight. It was a tiny bit dusty under the bed furniture and a spot or two under the work desk. Bathroom was clean and towels look cleaned too. Over all the experience was pleasant and we'll definitely be staying again. We also had our 2 toddlers so it was perfect for us to sleep together in one of the king beds. Also a few minutes from Disneyland.
