Best Western Orange Plaza

Honestly, it was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had in a very long time. The room smelled absolutely disgusting. It smelled like formaldehyde and cheap dollar store cleaner. The smell was so overwhelming that I had to keep a window open just to try to air things out. And the bathroom smelled disgusting. It smelled like mold and sewage. The trim boards around the bottom of the walls were all swollen like they were super wet at one point. There was a hole in the wall under my desk, and the walls were not clean. You could see streaks of some kind of fluid splattered on the walls. The shower was not much better. The tub felt 'slick' to the touch. I shudder to think what would make it slimy, but it was. For a weekend conference nearby we choose this hotel as we love the chain. We were not dissappointed. The grounds, rooms and lobby were clean and maintained, as well as updated. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is on the edge of iffy, but we felt safe in our room. Parking seemed limited, but we seemed to find the last space each evening. It is near an intersection, so in the evening you can hear some of the hotrods speeding by. There is a fridge in the room, but no microwave. The breakfast was full choice, and maintained, from pastries, breads, cerials, eggs, sausage, fruit, oatmal and yogurt. Someone for everyone. It was quiet in the breakfast room when we were there. My husband and I have stayed at this Best Western for at least 20 years at that time was known as the Travel Lodge. Such a clean, easy location and great staff. Would recommend

Clean rooms, no carpeting. So so breakfast. Didn't try the pool. No gym. Friendly staff. Close to a Ralph's... Great value for the money@

RUN AWAY DO NOT COME HERE! This place scammed me out of my $100 deposit. Only pay cash if you HAVE to stay here. If I had paid cash I would have gotten my deposit back the same day but instead they charged me $100 on FEB 11 I was told to wait 5-7 days for my money back and now they are telling me that they never took $100 out of my account. I physically had to put that money in my account and watched them literally charge me for it. Now he is saying it was a hold and no money was taken that is a lie and this place is a total scam. Micheal was his name he says he is the manager and I will be taking this up to corporate because that is shady and unprofessional! GO TO A BETTER HOTEL!
