Carolina Inn

I have never stayed here. But' I have had to go to this place in the course of my job. The rooms look nasty and the neighborhoos isn't the greatest. But mostly the rooms look nasty. I guess if you didn't have anything else, this would be a room over your head.

So I wanted to stay longer I actually enjoyed my night and the room was clean but the wife who works in the morning started calling me at 10:30 reminding of the check out time. I told her I knew I was going to be extending the room. She said I needed to get all my stuff out then extend the room. She continued to call me and scream at me that the check out is 11. The language barrier is already hard enough so I felt very disrespected. She then came to the door at 11 on the dot and started pounding hard. No respect for paying customers and I will be taking my business else where. Avoid if you like peace in your mornings

Helene ( hurricane) that came through Anderson left a lot of us in bad shape. No power for a while and for some people nowhere to go until power was restored. I called Mr. Patel on behalf for some friends that was in that particular situation. He didn’t hesitate to say yes, come on, I got you. He held a room until their arrival. The room was clean and served the purpose until their power was restored. He went ( personally) above and beyond the call of duty as an owner to make sure they were comfortable and safe until they didn’t need the room any longer. I will be forever grateful to Mr. Patel for his kindness during the storm. May our Heavenly Father bless him and his business. There was no shower curtain in the bathroom. We finally found the curtain folded up on a shelf in the closet area but still could not hang it because there were no curtain rings.. Had to use safety pins I happened to have in my purse to very crudely hang it for showers. Staff isn't exactly friendly. The rooms are poorly lit; and don't expect complimentary soaps/shampoos/etc because you will be disappointed. The only big perk imo is that the place is SUPER quiet. You will be unlikely to be bothered by any other guests, or company of guests because the owners are SUPER strict about their no guest policy. You can't even have a single person help carry your luggage to the room and leave - you will be told you've violated their rules you initially signed and agreed to upon paying for the room,
