So many bad things and a few good. A hotel of this calibre should do better in my opinion. At check in a kid hit my chair with a clipboard and another sat down next to me like he’s my child, neither the parents or check in person said or did anything. The food at the restaurant and at room service were both good, but charged us $50 after globalist free breakfast credit which was for one alcohol beverage and what they said was other service fees… $30 in unknown service fees they couldn’t show me the breakdown of. The animals on property are really cute, the activities are pretty sparse. Once I got home I noticed an unauthorised charge of almost $500 and after multiple calls and talking to the manager the charge was reversed. It was done by mistake they said they pressed the wrong button. Co
Carmel Valley Ranch is a truly beautiful property, and we had an amazing experience being hosted there for a work conference. From the moment we arrived, the staff stood out as exceptionally friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. I had a preexisting injury during my stay, and the team went out of their way to accommodate me—bringing ice packs promptly when I was in pain, which made a real difference and was deeply appreciated. The conference and meeting spaces are outstanding—spacious, well-designed, and ideal for hosting professional events. The catering was excellent throughout the conference, and dinner was genuinely delicious. Everything felt thoughtfully executed. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and lovely, with quality furniture and a relaxing layout. While the rooms aren’t ul
Carmel Valley Ranch left me speechless and part of me wishes I didn’t write this review so that I can gatekeep its beauty, but the staff and hotel truly deserve it. This resort is an absolute stunner and if I could I’d give it 100 out of the 5 stars. From the minute you step on the property, the staff show you an incredible level of hospitality and grace. At every point of our staycation, the desk staff, restaurant staff, shuttle drivers, farmhands, and beyond made the experience unforgettable and weren’t afraid to go the extra mile. Pair that with the beautiful hotel grounds, spacious rooms, and amazing amenities and this hotel is an easy winner compared to even some of the other more pricier options in the area. The restaurant on site is a must for breakfast and dinner as the food was
This is our fourth or fifth time staying, not including visiting friends and family staying here. It’s perfect for families!! We used to come as a couple and loved the wine/cheese/beekeeping/resort vibes in total safety. As a family it was soo amazing. The kids activities are a blast! Little ranchers with joss and Jain was superbly adorable even with rain! Jeff and Sophia were great trying to accommodate when a reservation went sideways and with everything else. The breakfast buffet is free for toddlers and so yummy. The resort has a gated/guarded entrance. You take a golf cart and shuttle around (or walk/drive). It was super rainy otherwise my Todd would have used a scooter.||There are so many pools. They’re all heated like most of the day and night. The kids area is perfect. Really every
Was really looking forward to our stay but overall felt underwhelmed and disappointed. The room was nice and spacious. The layout of the hotel is very spacious so be ready for walking and going up/down hill and to navigate the grounds in the dark (signage not so visible with the small lamps). Overall the service was not on par with what you pay. There’s a texting service for any questions you have. Unfortunately we were ignored multiple times. The food at Valley Kitchen is very good but the service is also disappointing. The grounds are beautiful and being able to see the animals up close was very special. One of the most dog-friendly hotels and that was also very cool! Overall though, I think we will explore other spots rather than come back to Carmel Valley Ranch due to the service.
