Candle Light Inn

We'd stayed here before although I had forgotten that. On the positive side, the room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and the receptionist extremely kind. We appreciated the free coffee and cookies in reception, and the coffee pod maker in the room. I also loved the complimentary bathrobe. On the negative side, we didn't get the 2nd story room I'd requested, both for a view and less noise. Instead, we were given a first floor room with a view of the parking lot on one side and a wall on the other. It was pretty noisy the first night for about 10 minutes at midnight. There was a large ADA bathroom, which would be great if you needed it, but we didn't, and that took up a lot of room, so there was no desk and no desk chair. I had to balance my laptop on my lap. Just a couple blocks away from Ocean Ave (main shopping/food street), it's a good little spot. We stayed in premium room with a jet tub. Room was clean and spacious. Jet tub was okay but jets are really loud (first world problems). Loved the touch of free cookies, which were delicious. And, they partner with various eateries and offer discounts, even at nice restaurants like The Pocket.

This was my first time staying at the Inn. It is in a great location and easily walkable to anywhere downtown. Check in was easy with nice staff at the desk that gave us fresh baked cookies to take back to our room. Our bed was comfy and the fireplace was amazing. Nice size bathroom and a seperate jacuzzi tub room. We left this Inn and went to the Ritz Carlton in Santa Barbara for a few nights after this one. We much preferred this room over the one at the Ritz!! For an extra fun time, stop by Terry's lounge for food and drinks. We sat in the lounge with a piano player/singer for a really nice evening.

Really nice place to stay. Very soft towels and a comfortable bed. The room with a jacuzzi tub and fireplace is worth the extra money. We would stay here again without a problem. The discounts with some of the local restaurants are a nice touch as are the fruit, cookies and coffee in the reception area.

Beautiful suite with jacuzzi tub, very big comfy bed & cozy fireplace. Great location, near restaurants and shops. Service was fantastic, reception give you free drinks & cookies daily. We were also given metal water bottles to use & keep. Carmel is a must if you've never been. Stunning. Make sure you do the e bike tour travelling around the town and Pebble Beach area! ☀️👌🏼
