Capitola Beach Suites

This is now the only place I will stay in Capitola! The rooms are all renovated and the balconies are perfect for the evenings... views are amazing from all rooms except for one. Staff is welcoming. Parking is limited to 1 car per room; the only drawback if staying in the larger suites. We make it work... definitely worth it!!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! I made reservations a month in advance. I requested a room on the 2nd floor due to online reviews stating 1st floor was noisy. Got a call from Bianca a week before reservation wanting to cancel due to emergency construction on 1st floor. I explained my reservation was supposed to be on 2nd floor, which apparently didn't happen. After much back and forth I was promised a room on the 3rd floor (1st lie)and was advised to cancel my reservation through booking.com because they couldn'tdo it on their end (2nd lie). Before canceling, I called back because I wanted a confirmation number first. Spoke to a different person saying I had no reservation and the room I was promised was already given to someone else. I love the view but the rooms leave a lot to be desired. We stayed three nights and our sheets weren’t changed. A note in the bathroom stated if you get makeup on the white washcloth and it doesn’t come out there will be a $10.00 charge!! Personally I have never spent $10.00 on a washcloth. The elevator is covered in rust. The hand mirror in the bathroom was rusty too. For the price of $339.00 a night you expect more.

We always stay at Capitola Beach Suites for my birthday in September. It's our favorite!! I can't count how many times we've stayed here but it's at least 10 times over the years. This is Room 4 in 2021.

ROOM 5: We came for our 5 year anniversary and it was exactly what we were looking for. Pros- walking distance to all shops, restaurants, bars and beach. The end of the parking area had access to a non crowded/quiet beach area and we were still able to walk along the water to the main beach area near the restaurants. We didn’t have to drive our car once while there. If we did go further than downtown, we rented electric bikes! Balcony was perfect to sit on while listening to the waves crash on the beach. Friendly staff. Clean facility. Cons- bathroom sink was a little smaller and in an awkward corner of the bathroom, but still nice/clean/remodeled (it seemed).
