Staff not pleasant, room is big. Every single person at the desk have not even smiled once when approached, they seem to be lacking a bit of customer orientation. The room is big but they don't really offer those complementary goods but a single tablet of soap and body lotion.

We stayed at this hotel for 10 days and were really happy with our stay. Check in was easy and our room was clean & comfortable - we opted for a room on 6th floor with a view of the Capitol building (would highly recommend as the Capitol lights at night are amazing & there is less traffic noise). The staff were very friendly and eager to help, nothing was too much to ask. To get into the city itself was a 15 minute walk or a 3 minute Uber ride. The area around the hotel is developing with plenty of high rise apartments shooting up & plus there is a big park across the road from the lobby you can go into. Navy Yard is a 10 minute walk and worth visiting for a nice meal. The bar is a really nice area of the hotel as it has nice comfy chairs, a cool bar atmosphere and plenty of drinks and coc

It was nice, but I expected a little better. I don't have any major complaints, except for the customer service in bar/ lounge. The gym/ fitness room could use some equipment. There was a breakfast buffet available. The breakfast can be included in some reservation or paid for at entry. Nice sized pool, with a family orientated vibe. There is parking, but it cost about $45 per night. There is very limited street parking, some of it metered.

Had a friend in town that stayed here. It was cute and clean with a retro vibe, but modern things. The pool and pool side bar are great as well. only downside is that even if you are staying at the hotel parking is $40 a day. . . pretty steep when the parking meter is much less. Other than that I'd recommend out of town folks to stay there, reasonable prices too.

It's tough to rate the hotel when it is being renovated, because it is inconvenient by nature. The paint smell was strong and throughout the building. The rooms are nice but simple, but the air conditioning did not work well. The room was unbearably warm. The room did nit have some basic amenities like an ice bucket or a hair dryer. The work out are was run down and the equipment was not well maintained. The staff was courteous and polite.
