Customer Reviews
Capital reef resort was conveniently located just outside Capital Reef National park. The resort offered regular hotel rooms, cabins, TeePees and covered wagons. The amenities included a Gym, Jacuzzi, pool, Laundry, ice, vending, fire pit, restaurant, and a gift shop. The hotel rooms were very clean and well stocked with Linen, personal toiletries and a coffee station. Our room had a balcony and the views were amazing. See pics below. The resort also offered llama corral and horse stables. The price was reasonable, considering it was located just outside a national park. This is a family owned resort and well worth the stay.
We stayed in a standard king room for one night on a quick trip to the park. The hotel is very convenient to the park entrance and the scenery out the back of our room was beautiful. The room itself was quite dated-90’s/early 2000’s decor, tired and dark. Clean enough, but glad we didn’t plan a multiple night stay. |If I was traveling with kids, I would appreciate the horses and Llamas guests can walk over to visit along with the pool, hot tub and fire pit. We didn’t use any of those amenities. |Restaurant was disappointing. The menu was limited and they were still out of at least 7 items early on a Friday evening. Food was edible but not good. We got “to go” coffee from the restaurant on our way out of town and couldn’t drink it. It was the worst coffee! |Overall, not a terrible
Beautiful location, close to many attractions, lots of wild life from our back patio. The room was nice, but nothing to get excited about. The resturant was just ok. Since it was winter many things were closed for the season. We realized that before we went and prepared. Having stayed at the sister resorts on Florida and Wyoming we were expecting the same quality, sadly it is not up to those standards.
Positive: Desk personnel, view from our room. Conveniently located for our travel plans. Negative: ""
Capitol Reef Resort is the perfect place to lay your head if you’re exploring the nearby parks! We stayed for two nights while visiting Capitol Reef and before heading to Bryce… our visit was very pleasant and we had no real complaints but the pictures on the website depict a different stay than what is offered. It is not a fancy stay by any means but it gets the job done. The pool area leaves a little more to be desired and the hot tub is old and dated and small but we enjoyed spending time in it admiring the views after our long hikes at the park! The restaurant on site was no frills but the food was good and the portions were very large!!! Overall Torrey is very sleepy town, if you are looking for anything exciting you will not find it here… The views of the red rocks cannot be beat tho
