Cowboy Homestead

This was a truly unique stay! Just 6 cabins on a ranch property. We met the other guests and they were all very pleasant retired couples. We never met the hosts so don't know much about them, but did meet the cows, horses, chickens, and a very friendly dog. The hosts did text us a lot of good info ahead of time which even guided our restaurant choice on the way there which was fabulous.||The sign on the road calls these "luxury" cabins, but I think that description is outdated. The cabin was sufficient and well designed, but certainly not modern and pretty basic. The heat worked well and everything we needed was there. We had to rearrange furniture a little to access outlets for charging phones near the bed and getting out of bed on one side.||One little thing left a negative impression. T

Great cabins on scenic route 12! They seem so well thought out with great beds, good pillows, nice decor, USB chargers on the night stand, good TP, a mirror for the ladies to do makeup, and more. Good view to relax on the rocking chairs on the porch in the evening and no city lights to diminish the stars at night. This was our favorite place we stayed out of 9 on our trip.

This was my second time to Cowboy Homestead Cabins (last time was 2017, I think), but I always recommend them to friends and family staying in the area. The cabins are climate controlled and comfy (it was snow flurries when we were there!) and the beds are amazingly comfortable! (I usually have trouble sleeping away from my own bed). ||When we went, they gave our kids a tour of their working ranch and we got to feed horses and bottle feed baby lambs!! My younger one thought that was the best ever! The warmth and hospitality here is wonderful, and they are very close to all the fun in Capitol Reef. ||The cabins have a small kitchenette with sink, mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. What a fun and different experience and a great alternative to traditional motels/hotels. Our cabin (#6) had a comfortable king bed, a sofa, a small functional kitchen and was exceptionally clean. The cabin is actually quite large and bigger than most traditional hotel rooms. You have a nice front porch with chairs and a table and it was great sitting out there looking at the hills with a beverage after a good day in Capitol Reef NP. It is about 5 minutes outside Torrey and about a 15 minute ride to the Capitol Reef visitors center. We loved it!

We had a one night stay.. Wish we would have stayed longer! Check in and check out were the EASIEST! The property itself and the the decor inside the cabins are fantastic—rustic charm but modern. I’ve never seen so many stars at night—excellent relaxing front porch! Convenient location for Capitol Reef stop. Extremely clean property with all the essentials for a stay. Great for families. Would definitely stay again in a heartbeat. LOVED!!!
