Candlewood Suites Mission East Mcallen Area By Ihg

This hotel has been a nightmare. It should NOT have opened if it was not fully complete. We had reserved 1 double room. We're put on 3rd floor tht was not yet completed w no working elevatoes. The Room was missing bathroom fixtures shower curtains and an alarm was going off for hours. They moved us to 2nd floor 2 rooms our family w children had to seperate. 1 of those rooms had no hot water the ENTIRE stay. We had to use showers across the hall in the other room which the AC wasn't working for the entire stay. Manager was only willing to give a 5% discount for this unacceptable ordeal w 1 room 1 no jot water and the other room w no AC. Save your money do not stay here. We made over 15 stops at front desk to let them know of the issues. None were rectified. Calling corporate now. This is

Understaffed. System was down, booked our room to somebody else and wanted us to stay in 2 separate king rooms with 2 kids. Literally had the front desk woman taking people all around to different rooms to try and make up for selling rooms to the wrong people. You would think opening a week ago they would have it together being an ihg hotel. Ended up booking at another hotel. Disappointed is an understatement.

Stay away from this hotel. Booked multiple rooms for my employees, the AC in one room wasn't working. They told us they didn't have any rooms that night to switch into, and he had to bunk up with a co-worker. I spoke with a manager the next day and was ensured that he would be placed in a different room with a working AC. After a long day working in the heat, he arrived and was told he is in the same room and they didn't fix the ac. The front desk was less than helpful, was put on hold for 15 minutes while listening to other customers try to check in with their reservations but then told they had over booked and no rooms were available. We won't be staying at IHG hotels anymore.

Lukewarm water at best and plugging in my laptop would flip the breaker after 5 minutes. Cosmetically the hotel is new and the room is nice but good luck on everything else.

Toman 100 dls de deposito según lo entregan al hacer el checkout. Estoy esperando la devolución. También falta agua caliente por la noche. Por la mañana solo estaba fresca-tibia el agua. Por todo lo demás buenas instalaciones. Cómodas y con lo necesario. Desayuno muy bien.
