Candlewood Suites Charleston - Northwoods, an IHG Hotel

Room was clean, however key cards failed every time I left the room. Other customers experienced similar issues. The night desk person was very accommodating, the day crew left more to be desired. Surrounding area was also sketchy.

Good morning my experience yesterday Saturday January 24 to be honest I don't even know nobody at this hotel. I was on the walk yesterday with my dog walking through the parking lot and as I was walking I was approached by two police stating that this hotel doesn't want anybody walking through their premises it's nothing special about this hotel sits behind Hooters plenty of stray cats trash all around the facility the back lot it's for all the workers who work there to go outside and do their smoking and I'm not talking about cigarettes and vaping. The parking lot is filthy the courtyard where you walk your dogs at has landmines everywhere hope no one ever and decides before they even look into this hotel. This is our 1st night of 3 & I hope it improves! 1st Room- bathroom door wouldn't close & phone didn't work so I couldn't call front desk! We were moved to another room, strong smell of carpet cleaner but disappated some when we opened the window & turned on the bathroom fan, coffee pot is broken but still works, after 4 hours ice maker not working & refrigerator not very cold, we turned it off & on so maybe it will start working. Clerk said she didn't have a room to move us to so she gave us ice to keep our food in a cooler. Hopefully things will improve by tomorrow.

Walked inside Candlewood and talked to Ms.Gail , she was very helpful with rates and showed me how much she loved working at this hotel, made me feel like home. Services was amazing if I could stay in for a week or longer then I would .. if anybody needed to stay in Charleston area then I would visit Ms. G at Candlewood suites 😊..

⚠️ WARNING: Do NOT order Domino’s delivery here! $70 worth of food was delivered to the wrong room twice. I gave clear instructions to the front desk, including my phone number, to ensure it would be handled properly‼️yet my instructions were completely ignored. Room 125 is in terrible condition: it smells awful, the toilet is wobbly, the floors and walls are filthy, and you can hear grime sticking to the bottom of your shoes when you walk. We’ll be here for two weeks, and I will update this review if anything improves. So far, this business is untrustworthy and completely unreliable.
