Campfire Ranch Red Mountain Pass

We had the most amazing experience with Campfire Ranch at the Red mountain location!! Jack was our hut host & went so above & beyond with everything- the food was unreal and he was so accommodating to any dietary restrictions. The beds were so comfy, and waking up to the views everyday was unreal. We had the best days touring & skiing fresh snow, and hope to go back soon. Truly the hut trip that ruins all other hut trips - doesn’t get much better than this!

Perfect backcountry hut trip from start to finish. The team at Campfire Ranch had everything dialed — the hut was comfortable, well stocked, and thoughtfully set up with everything you could need for an amazing backcountry experience. They also coordinated with a local guide company so we not only had the best time skiing but stayed safe in the mountains as well. That extra level of care really stood out. We felt well taken care of the entire trip and can’t wait to come back.

Stoke & Sustenance The backcountry terrain here is absolute all-time—countless lines right out the door. If you can handle the heat the sauna is a perfect reset after exhausting yourself on the skin track. The real MVP is the hut keeper. Having a friendly local handle breakfast and dinner while you’re recovering from a heavy day of touring is a total game-changer. They’re helpful, witty, and probably a better cook than you are. Go for the views & vertical, stay for the humble hospitality.

Stayed here with a group of girlfriends towards the end of February / beginning of March after I learned about it following a stay at Campfire Ranch Bella Vista in the Fall. It may be low tide in Colorado, but it was still HIGH VIBE at Campfire Ranch Red Mountain Pass. We had Jack as our hut keeper. He was an amazing chef - we couldn't believe what he whipped up, especially for our nightly dessert. He also kept us entertained over meals with great conversation, thanks Jack! Super easy skin in / ski out, and you can definitely enjoy all the hut has to offer, like a wood fired sauna, without being an expert skier. My family and I were lucky enough to spend a few days after Christmas at this awesome hut as a gift from my mom—and it couldn’t have been better. The hut is super cozy and stocked with everything you might need. Jack, the hut keeper, really made the experience with his welcoming vibe and delicious food. The location is unbeatable, with incredible views and easy access to backcountry skiing for all levels. Huge thanks and cheers to the Campfire Ranch crew—can’t wait to come back!
