Worst camp hosts I've ever had! The woman working there was extremely rude, ruining the whole experience. I went with my seven year old, and he was scared to run into her. One evening we heard her screaming at the campers next to us.||The bad vibes are not worth the cost. Also, only 2 campsites get the view, so the only thing special about this place is how uniquely nasty the person working there is.
Just stayed a week here and it was the best decision we made! Had an amazing view of the smoky mountains, killer sunsets, and even a hiking trail that went to a pond and around the campground! The camp hosts Anthony and Abby couldn’t have been any nicer! Anything you asked for or even didn’t ask for, they were on top of it. Very helpful and answered any questions we had! Thank you Abby and Anthony for making the best of our trip!
My family (husband and 2 littles) frequent Campfire Lodging often throughout the year. We live about 3 hours away. We love the spots more up the hill because you have more privacy and beautiful mountain views. There isn't one bad spot at this campground. You are seconds away from the interstate but would never guess because you cannot hear it at all. Weaverville has much to offer if you don't want to venture to Asheville. Watch out for bears because there are sightings as a mama bear live off the side of this mountain!
Beautiful campground with incredible views, and Tina was great to work with. Our 45’ toy hauler 5th wheel with Ram 3500 dually measures over 60’ total wasn’t able to navigate the turn into our assigned spot so Tina worked with us found us an alternate one that was easy to get into. The campground is tight for a big rig like ours, but it’s possible if you are a really skilled and confident driver. Also many reviews mention being afraid of the road up but it was easy and follow their advice to make sure you keep moving on last steep curve into campground. Our tires spun on wet leaves (it was raining) but we made it no problem. Turnaround is tight but no problems using it twice. Overall a week to remember visiting Asheville. We will be back!
Perfect spot to camp and drive into town. Host is super friendly. Bought wood from then and they stacked it at the campsite for us while we were out. Wonderful views from campsite. Paved and level campsite with water, electric and sewage. Definitely would stay here again for another Ashville visit.
