Two cute dogs appeared out of nowhere to say hi and disappeared as quickly as they arrived
Used to come to this place as a kid because my grandparents owned the house directly adjacent to this soda spring. And yes, you can drink the water out of the spring, it has a very unique taste. Would highly recommend people come visit Camp Nelson due to it bordering the National Park: lots of trails that I have personally explored, and many places to camp. Make sure to grab some food on the way up from the restaurant on the right in Pierpoint. Bring chains in the winter, as snow removal is limited to certain points.
Camp Nelson is a great place to take the family for a weekend of relaxation, hiking and river fishing.
