Hard to find information though. (edit. I removed a star) Range status is unpredictable since it's at the whim of the weather and the Army. They are mostly open but I've been bitten a few times. After making the half hour drive only to find out they are opening late or not open or on the alternate range. I normally try not to go until after I call but they don't know the status until they open (makes no sense to me). Also, even though the main range goes to 300, they won't let you put targets out past 100 most times. They sometimes have steel at 200 and 300 which can be great but it's not dependable. Shooting ranges open only on weekends from 0900-1500. This is what shooting ranges are suppose to be like. Inexpensive and not a bunch of restrictions. I almost hate to write anything good to
I and my friend we went to the park together and we have so much fun and the week goes well with my family and I love you so much and I will be home
This place is a hidden gem. The range staff are all really friendly and it's a nice place to shoot. Word of advise, if you are driving from far away, 30 minutes or more. Call the range first and make sure they are open to the piblic. Weather or Army reserved shooting events do happen.
Enjoyed my first visit to the range today. Irma helped me navigate the administrative part of the process, she made registering easy and quick. I then proceeded to the range, where I met Martin, the range master during my visit. He explained how the range worked and his role, and made me feel comfortable as we moved targets into place for my session. My time there was short, unfortunately, but most valuable in obtaining some needed practice with my firearm, and welcomed guidance and advice from Martin. I will be back! Thanks.
Love this place. My wife and I both got our LTC licenses here and I continue to come here when I want to get some relaxing range time. The outdoor range is very scenic and well maintained. They allow pistols and long guns but shotguns need a specific target to be set up. No frills so expect to set up your own targets and stand. Military ran so it is very relaxed and not ran by a bunch of hopped up wannabe operators. For the price of $10 DOD card holders are provided unlimited time, targets, glasses, and ear protection. HIGHLY recommend calling ahead as they close for any military/Federal holiday.
