Cambria Hotel Savannah Downtown Historic District

Room was clean & comfortable. Shower didn’t have much water pressure so that was disappointing. Service was excellent, Ricardo and his son both work in the lobby and they went above and beyond to be helpful in giving directions and restaurant suggestions. They also just were so kind and had great customer service. Definitely belong in the hospitality business. They deserve a raise

Location ws not what I expected from the description when I booked it - wanted to be able to walk to shops, river, etc. and thought that would be around the hotel, but it was not. Picture on booking page was not to be found as far as I could tell; valet parking too expensive & self-parking was not explained by attendant; room thermostat was too complicated - could not get it to keep the room at the desired temperature; room itself was nice; no free breakfast like most most other Choice properties we have stayed at. Bought breakfast was good, however the cook was late getting there (around 15 minutes!)... All in all, not the experience I am used to at Choice properties! I definitely will stay on the outskirts of Savanna IF I ever return, which is not likely!

Perfect hotel! Parking is across the street. It said up to $20 a night, but I only got charged $10 upon leaving over 24 hours later, so cool! As for the hotel, staff was welcoming & kind. They let me park out front until I got checked in & everything up to my room before putting it in the garage. The Trolley Tours station is across the street & everything is very walkable (10-15min to get basically anywhere downtown). The rooms were comfy, clean, & had great lighting. The bathroom mirror had Bluetooth to connect to my phone to play music while getting ready. I would 100% stay again when in Savannah next.

The hotel was centrally located where we could walk to all the surrounding historic sites and on a nice, quiet street. It had 5 free parking spots outside of the hotel or you can park in the LIberty St. ramp 1/2 block away that only costs $2 between 5 pm and 5 am. The 2 queen bed room was clean, very spacious with a nice couch, had a rainfall shower, had a microwave and fridge, and a view of the bridge/river out the window. We were appreciative of the complimentary apples and oranges. The only negative we have is that it could have had brighter lighting inside the room for reading purposes, and that it would have been nice to have a night light for getting to the bathroom during the night.

I needed a vegan option for breakfast. I always can find oatmeal at hotels but for the first time ever, I couldn’t eat their’s because they put milk in while cooking. Since I couldn’t eat anything else on the small menu, I stood up to leave. My very helpful server Engelburt, offered to have a batch of plain oatmeal cooked up. He was very friendly and attentive during the whole meal. It was already late morning so that saved us from searching for another restaurant.
