Cambria Hotel Houston Downtown Convention Center

Overall, we had a pleasant stay at the Cambria Hotel in Houston. The staff was friendly, professional, and very helpful throughout our visit. The hotel itself is beautiful, peaceful, and very clean, which made it a comfortable place to stay. One downside was the long wait times for the elevators—it seemed like not all of them were working, which caused delays. Another concern was a safety issue: a random man knocked on our door claiming he needed to fix a remote, but he did not have a badge or uniform. For safety reasons, I declined to open the door. While this was unsettling for my wife and me, it appeared to be an isolated incident. Our room also didn’t have a great view. When we opened the blinds, we were facing stairs and nearby building windows, which gave more of a “New York” alley

I was so pleasantly surprised by my stay at the Cambria. Beautiful historic building with recently updated rooms. |I needed a room for a last-minute business trip to Houston and am so glad I found this hotel. It was an exceptional value, and the rooms are large and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and responsive. |I would recommend and will book here again next time I’m in town.

The hotel is in a great location, but the service is terrible. I ended up in a single bed room. I was told a rollaway was being sent. It never came. I went to the lobby about 1am to check on it. I was told they didn’t have anymore rollaways. In place of that, I was told extra blankets and pillows would be sent. They never came. The following day my room was not serviced. I’ve requested towels and trash pickup now once in person in the lobby, once with a housekeeper, and another time calling down to the front desk. I still have no towels or trash pickup at 6PM.

A wonderful hotel stay. The building is beautiful and the view from our room was even better. They have done an amazing job by renovating and keeping the historical integrity of the building. The room was so luxurious and the shower was A++. Hot Hot water and fantastic water pressure. Beds were plush and comfortable, although I think the pillows could be bigger and having both firm and soft options would have been nice. Room stayed cool and was quiet the entire night. We really enjoyed the layout of the rooms and not being right next door to your neighbor offered additional privacy. We will definitely be staying again.

Extraordinary experience from check in to check out. Was in Houston to run the marathon and the entrance to my starting corral was literally just outside the door of the hotel. The staff could not have been nicer. The gym is state of the art, the breakfast was delicious, the room was amazing with the largest bathroom I have ever had. I highly recommend this hotel!
