Cal Mar Hotel Suites

I echo a previous review's words: Unquestionably one of Santa Monica's best-kept secrets. This place is right out of the 60s/70s. For me, that suits me. Noise can get a bit loud during the day, however that's anywhere in the area. I got work done and met with clients with no interruptions. The amenities might feel dated to some. I liked it -- they're dated because they last and everything just works. I felt right at home with full kitchenette, bathroom, living room with desk, dining area, and bedroom. Cool air during the day, heat when it got chilly at night? I couldn't ask for more. What stood out to me was the staff and clenliness. Everything feels and looks clean in the room I stayed in. Fresh sheets, clean. The air can be a bit "grandma's house at first." For me? That's a clean home

It's was okay. I loved it wasn't far from beach,shops,food,store. Like that had fridge,stove, it did have dishes but did not use brought my own and cleaning stuff. Basically a whole apartment with 1-2 bed los of space. The only thing was heat smells like the room was on fire didn't use, blind where dirty, floor still had hair. Good thing it was only 1 night other that that they would've cleaned my whole room. But i use my lysol and wipes. My deposit came back fast usually hotel take forever.

Positive: Walking distance to everywhere.! Negative: You got to pay for parking

Cal mar hotel is a super hotel to stay at !! They are fully equipped with all the essentials youll need for your stay from the kitchen to the bedroom super clean no bugs and very calm the fact that they have a full kitchen with stove an full size fridge makes it great so that you can make your own cooked meals and save on some cash eating out lol .. but if you do chose to dine out there are plenty of restaurants at a walking distance and the beach it literally at your door step !! I will be doing my booking with them again next time we come out for a vacation !! The staff was great and attentive answered all our questions and concerns! Wonderful stay over all!!

The accommodation alone may not quite warrant 5 stars, simply because I've stayed in nicer places for less money in other cities, but for the price and very friendly service, it definitely deserves praise and recognition.||The rooms are enormous, with mine having a separate bathroom and a kitchen you could cook a full meal in easily. The hotel is reasonably basic, although much less expensive than most other properties anywhere in the area, and it's great value. A really comfy bed, loads of space, an early checkin and plenty of patience with the checkout.
