Caboose Motel & Gift Shop

We spent two nights here and we really liked it. It's easy to get but away from the downtown area so it's much more calm and quiet. The bed was comfortable, and it had all the amenities such as fridge, microwave, blow dryer, coffee maker, a/c and tv. The entrance is very steep, so if you're here when it's snowing, be aware of that, but they do have their own snowplow! The owners and staff were very nice and gave us an extra blanket when we asked. If we come back, this will be our go to!

We had a wonderful stay at this charming motel in Durango! They were incredibly accommodating with my two Great Danes, which I truly appreciated. The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. The location was also perfect—close to plenty of restaurants, shops, and other amenities. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a clean, welcoming, and pet-friendly place to stay!

Although I was a little unhappy about being switched rooms at the last minute, the later room was very cozy and warm. The owner let us use his cabin space to cook, which we were very grateful for.

This was absolutely the worst motel we've ever stayed in. The room was run down and dirty. The refrigerator has food left in it from a previous occupant and it was stick on the inside from someone spilling juice or soda in it. The beds were uncomfortable and the furniture completely outdated. There was no set of drawers to store clothes, instead there was an old tube tv stand with the drawers and doors removed with a small flat screen tv on top. There was also a giant, random globe in the room. Not sure why, it was old and beat up and took up a ton of floor space. The kitchen stove and sink were labelled with a sharpy. Whoever they use for cleaning rooms should be fired.||The worst part of the whole experience was that the two towels provided in the bathroom both has big brown smeared mark

Loved staying here! It was so nice to be at a locally owned, family establishment. The room was perfect and I had zero complaints. Can’t wait to come back through and stay again.
