Budgetel Inns & Suites - Decatur / Atlanta

This was the worst hotel I’ve ever been to please do not waste your money and go here This hotel looks nothing like advertised in all actuality. It should probably be condemned. It smelled horrible had roaches. The window curtain was broken. The shower didn’t work properly.( only a trickle of water)There was eyelashes and dirt in the bathroom. No one cleaned this room at all! there were burn holes in the covers and crumbs in the bed. The refrigerator had old food inside and was nasty and rusted on the outside. The air vents were Rusted. holes in the walls that were patched badly They were advertising in his room at $90 a night. We paid 80 and I want every penny of it back because there’s no way you charge that much for a room that’s terrible for some reason. It won’t let me add the photos,

I called and made reservations for a room for myself and my family. We arrived at 3:30 am(August 15, 2003) and the clerk had no knowledge of our reservations. We paid for a room and when we got in the room it was 98 degrees in the room!! I attempted to turn on the A/C and nothing! I went down to the office to request a room that was already cool and had working air. The clerk explained that the air in the room works but he had to turn it on from the office. I aksed if any of the empty rooms were already cool and he replied "NO...you will have to give it time". I tried to explain to the guy that his plan was insane and certainly not customer friendly and he put up his hand to "shoosh me"!! I promptly requested a refund and left! I have NEVER been treated so rudely!! I would STRONGLY advise

There’s a rumor about possible sex trafficking of minors at the candler road location. I called this location and asked them to watch for suspicious activity and to be transferred to the candler location. He says “this is flat shoals”. Anyone from Atlanta knows that flat shoals turns to candler. Someone needs to keep an eye out. There are minors being trafficked from this hotel allegedly and something needs to be done. The attendant also hung up the phone and didn’t assure that they would be diligent in ensuring the safety of our minors.

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I just needed a room overnight. The first room the TV didn't work. In the second room upon entry smelled of smoke. The air conditioner filter was filthy as well as the vent in the bathroom. At 5am I was awaken because of the sensation of something crawling on me. It was a roach crawling on my face. After flicking it away I moved the bed and I see dead roaches and a empty chips bag. The refrigerator has dust and other stuff stuck in the grooves. I called the front desk and stated that I wanted a refund at checkout. I was told Sorry no refunds and checkout is at 11am thank you and he hung up

Room was in a decent shape however sheets had holes and stains writing on the door frame and other mess price is good and reasonable security does they're job if your a truck driver Bob tailing you can park just be mindful of other drivers don't block them not suitable for a full truck only Bob tailing and box trucks Has a TV and refrigerator not sure if all rooms do but mine did
