Budget Inn

If I could rate -0 on the room I would. To say dirty would be an understatement! We slept with the lights on because of the massive cockroach infestation. Took all our belongings to the car for fear of taking them with us. The pillows were magazine thick with gross yellow stains all over. Mattress was in a zipped cover but I opened to check for bed bugs and OMG it was so old it was literally falling apart like disintegrating before my eyes. Not to mention the stained pillowcases and sheets. The towels were so dingy and gross I dried off with my shirt. The light fixtures had no covers on them. There wasn't a matching thing in the room. The only reason that we stayed here was because we had been driving all day and it was getting late. What a mistake! The room smelled terrible and was filthy. I killed a bug in the bathroom. The sheets had holes in them and the towels were gray.|We couldn't bring ourselves to use the shower.|The billboard advertised free breakfast. However, when we went to the reception area to get our morning coffee, we were told, "Honey, I don't know where she put the coffee maker". By the way, there IS NO breakfast. The sign should have been changed years ago.|We will NEVER stop here again!!|It was terr6!!

Room was dirty and had cockroaches on the walls and in the bathroom. The blanket on the bed had multiple cigarette burns through it. Mold on the ceiling and electrical outlet was ripped from the wall with wires exposed. The staff was rude when we told them about the room but they offered us a different room. That one had the bed unmade, a vape and other trash on the floor, and cockroaches and mold as well. We asked for a refund but they wouldn’t give one. I’d give zero stars if I could.

Positive: The front desk clerk was very polite and helpful. Negative: The first room we were given had not been cleaned (bed still mussed and towels on the floor). We were given a second room, where within two minutes we saw (and took pictures/video of) a large cockroach. We checked out after that and were given a refund.

Reserved a room during the run of the St Louis Renaissance Festival...the first room we were given had not been cleaned. We got into the second room and within five minutes saw a large cockroach. There is also no breakfast (which is advertised everywhere), and the pool is closed. The staff member refunde my payment with no argument whatsoever when we went back to the desk to tell them about the roach (which I took pictures and video of) and that we were leaving and going elsewhere. This was a huge disappointment, because a year ago I stayed here four different weekends and had absolutely zero problems.
