Budget Inn Mackinaw

I had to drive to the motel next door to check in. The staff were not welcoming at all or helpful at all! The room smelled musty and moldy. There were flies the liked to hang out on the bedspread (sign that they aren't cleaned after use) Then there's the bathroom... Poop splattered on the walls. It look like someone wiped their butt with the door frame. Spiders in the bath tub, and the toilet didn't flush!!! I had to call the front desk to get the wifi password (not friendly at all) It was late and I didn't want to deal with the front desk again to change my room so I washed the walls and door frame. Threw the bedspread on the floor and killed the flies. They should've paid me!!!

Positive: It had a comfortable bed. Negative: Holes in walls, burnt carpet, bugs in windows, had to check in at another hotel - there is no onsite staff. Ceiling falling. Stains on walls. Hallway walls scuffed up, dirty and have holes. Bugs in hallway windows. I have geotagged photos of the issues.

Room was clean & comfortable. Very quiet and close to downtown. Reasonable rates & no minimum night stay, even on a holiday weekend. Bathroom was small but vanity outside of it so plenty of room for three of us to get ready at once. The manager, Terry, was amazing. It needed some repairs and maintenance but did not affect our sleep. Plenty of room. Parking right outside the door, so convenient. We would stay again if we were in the area.

I was not impressed with this establishment. The good points the price and they only charged $25 for the 3 nights there for my cat. But, they have to update their information, that you have to go next door to check in, you have to use the pool next door. The room was filthy, the sink faucet sprayed water all over. The carpet at the bathroom door was held in place by duct tape, under the furniture was tons of dust, dirt, and debris. And there was a spot on the ceiling that looked like mold.I wouldn't recommend this place.

This place was disgusting, stayed one night. The check in required us to go next door to thunderbird hotel. The room was dirty, old dog food on the floors, coins on the floor, water damage in the bathroom. And even more trash. We have 4 adults and 2 kids (joining rooms 220). They gave us very limited towels, and shampoo and soaps. The TV in the second room didn't work at all. The mini fridge made a awful noise all throughout the night. Doors needed some serious WD40. Yes it's cheap.....but honestly it's not worth it at all. Stay away from here.
