Budget Inn

My husband and I went down to visit my favorite cousin. The owner was very friendly and helpful with places to visit within walking distance along with some nice eateries. The rooms were affordable. Very clean. Too be honest I truly wasn't expecting much. I was more concerned with the price than any amenities at the time I booked it. The majority of the rooms were rented our by the week most everyone knew each other. Have to say it was a nice change from Baltimore. Look. Everyone was so friendly. They even cooked or on the grill and had a neighborhood dinner.

Arrived to find lobby closed. Greeted by tatooed lady guarding the entrance with her friendly little dog. Then a shirtless guy with a nice smile came out of his room to join in the conversation about "where is the manager?"||Discussed why emotional support dogs help with delayed stress syndrome and other ailments while we waited,||Watched a guy drag a mattress across the lot and dump it next to another parking space.||Kind of a carnival atmosphere, but we were the only customers at this carny. Finally a woman came out of another motel room to greet us. She seemed stressed and probably needed the emotional support dog more than the tattooed lady or the shirtless guy,||"I don't know why they keep doing this," she muttered after I explained we booked the room on Expedia. Its a great place. Affordable and management is amazing. We stayed about two months. The worst thing I could say is it's an old building but they have the rooms clean. Comfortable beds. Never saw any bugs. Mini fridge. TV. Wifi. Microwave. Everything any other hotel would have but the couple that runs the hotel are very sweet which made our stay great. Thanks again!!

This place is awful. They say pets allowed and only $8 per pet, but yet tried to charge us $58 altogether for the pets. How do you get $58 out of $16? They are rude and the rooms are disgusting. Smells like mildew and nothing works. There are holes in the walls and there is no housekeeping, so good luck getting clean sheets and towels. Been here for 3 days and now trying to say having pets is against their health code violation..? Then why tell people pets are allowed. Makes no damn sense. I would highly recommend not staying here. It's ridiculous.

Front Royal is a tourist town due to its proximity to scenic skyline drive, and a number of caves. As such, there is an abundance of motels in town. The Budget Inn is definitely on the lower end, but it's not bad for one night. The outside looks old and rundown, but the room was ok. It has a refrigerator and microwave. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. If you're on a budget, it's a decent place to stay.
