It is a fairly small, quiet park some distance from Austin. The roadways to the park are very winding and a bit challenging. The turnoff from Hamilton Pool Rd to Stagecoach Ranch Rd is easy to miss especially in the dark. The corner street sign needs to be more visible. There isn't any privacy between RVs and it's a good distance to Downtown Austin. The staff was very accommodating. On arrival, checking in was a piece of cake. The Wi-Fi worked just fine, no troubles with it. Our back-in site, 74,was clean, level and spacious and had a wonderful view of the hills. There are many full timers here, but the park was mostly clean and well kept with a few of the full-timer sites a bit cluttered. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The credit card readers for laundry did not function well. Had t
I don’t normally do reviews, but I want to counter some of what I’ve read on other sites. We stayed here for the entire month of November 2024. Site 28. We fell in love with the place and all the people who keep it running, as well as the scenery surrounding the park. I’m hearing impaired and make all our reservations online, but setting up a month-long stay here means a phone call. The staff was SO accommodating and communicated with me via email instead. That right there was an instant plus. On arrival, checking in was a piece of cake. Our site had a wonderful view of the hills with some added beauty when it was foggy in the early morning. There is a big round “silo” next to the site, true, but it didn’t bother us and didn’t lessen the enjoyment of the view. The showers are big and clean
Two month reservation that turned into nearly two years. Buddy's is a wonderful RV Resort! The staff are very friendly, short-term/long-term campers are so sweet, and even the local wildlife seem to make appearances here and there. The resort itself is quiet, family-friendly, and feels extremely safe. My doggos can vouch for the varying sized dog parks, which they never failed to catch a case of the zoomies in or be enthrawed by varying bird or wildlife calls. From the scorching summers, stars making their grand appearances at night, cold wintry days, beautiful sunrises, or hearing the hill country breeze whip through, Buddy's is the place to experience it all no matter the season. Thank you Norma for providing a safe home away from home for me. I'll miss Buddy's for sure!!!
Love this camping site! The views are amazing and the staff are soooo friendly!! It’s so nice for a weekend getaway. We arrived late and dark on Friday, have a huge difficulty in backing the 35 ft fifth wheel trailer into the campsite. Norma and her husband helped with multiple tries and in the end helped take over to back the trailer. They are amazing!!! THANK YOU and you are amazing staff of the campsite!
This 2 week stay was extremely disappointing due to repeated mismanagement and poor communication. I reserved our site online about six months in advance to secure a specific end spot that fit our needs. I never received a confirmation email, and when I called months later, I was told we had been booked for the wrong month, despite notes clearly stating we were coming for Christmas. Just before arrival, we were informed that the guest occupying the site we specifically reserved wanted to extend their stay and we were expected to move. That was unacceptable, so we adjusted our stay by one day to avoid further issues. Despite shortening our stay, we were charged for an extra day. I was told a refund was issued, but I am still waiting and never received confirmation. During our stay, the
