The Fitz RV Resort

The Fitz is a great spot in the hill country just outside of Austin and short drive to the center of dripping springs. A nice big dog park, quiet, and nice amenities with a pool and a community venue. The management staff was helpful and friendly. My only issue is the amount of goat heads in the grassed area at our site; this was not good for our pups. Fortunately, the dog park seemed to be without any. Definitely a great spot to stay for the stars at night and the views of the mountains during the day. It was too cold for the pool but looked like it's nice as the weather warms up. And definitely follow the recommended directions to come in off McGregor, much safer on your rig!

The Fitz is my favorite escape in Central Texas. When you arrive at the resort, you forget that you are less than 15 minutes away from Dripping Springs, with wineries, breweries and wedding venues close at hand. Instead, you feel an immediate and close connection with nature, the beautiful big sky of Texas Hill Country, silence, and God’s creation. The sunrises and sunsets from here are breathtaking. The people friendly (Pam is great!), hiking is close at hand at Pedernales Falls State Park, and Johnson City is less than 20 minutes away. It’s why I keep coming back!

One of the best parks we have stayed at in a very long time. Far enough out to be quiet, close enough to anything you might want to do. Friendly folks, family oriented, we will be back again soon.

It is really about the sun rise and sunsets, amazing, and internet connection was amazing to mix business and pleasure into one week. The entrance is west and the back faces east, choose your spot accordingly. Also, nice large dog park.

We loved our stay at Fitz RV Resort! We are working gen X'ers who are "weekend warrior" campers/glampers. We pick spots that will give us the nature experiences we crave while still allowing us the creature comforts we "need" LOL. Therefore, we are REALLY picky about our RV resort choices. Fitz RV Resort is off the beaten path nestled in the heart of hill country. Views on both ends of the resort (mostly East/West on a slight angle) are spectacular! The differing views each way make for fantastic morning or evening walks. This resort is a quiet atmosphere, clean and well taken care of property. The clubhouse is well-maintained with 2 showers/bathrooms, Keurig coffee maker and well stocked coffees, creamers and sugars, ice machine and fridge. The icemaker was an awesome surprise,
