Broken Spur Inn

Such a fun stay!! We had a group of 10 and were able to fit into two wagons. The kids loved it! We had a unseasonable cold front come through one night and it got a bit chilly over night so check the weather and maybe bring extra blankets. The next night was perfect. Fire pits right around the wagons. We loved it here!

We chose the Broken Spur Inn for its uniqueness, its steak house, and its proximity to the Capital Reef National Park. The room rate was reasonable in comparison to other properties in the area. ||The staff was friendly, helpful and competent. That's a breath of high mountain air at a time when most "hospitality" people don't care if you are a guest or not. ||The steaks were tasty, and again, the wait staff was very efficient and friendly.||As senior citizens, we didn't partake of camping in the wagons, but a look at them showed roomy, comfortable interior furnishings and it could be a great adventure for travelers with kids.||Overall, this place should be a good choice in lodging for anyone. Enjoy it. We did.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Broken Spur Inn! The lady at the front desk was so kind, answered all my questions and was so friendly each time we went in. The room is updated and comfortable, sometimes "Motel-Style" establishments can be pretty rundown but this one was amazing! Parking, free breakfast & room amenities were so worth the price we paid. The pool and hot tub were nice; if it weren't so cold out in November, we would've used the playground! It's located really close to Capitol Reef & near lots of other food options. All in all, it was a great stay. We will absolutely be back!

My wife and I stayed her recently when passing through town. The check in was fine and the rooms were clean and spacious. Sadly there was no desk area for laptop work or a dresser for clothes and instead a long bench and a small table, I think they should maybe offer both for better convenience. Both of us found the beds and pillows to be too hard for our liking but this is an individual preference. The location and grounds are nice and the hotel sits atop a hill overlooking the lovely area. Breakfast was satisfactory with your basic offerings, however the dining area was just too dark for a breakfast meal and the cook was greeting folks and later coughing which was concerning. We would consider staying here again if in the area but might also research other options as well.
