Customer Reviews
Average hotel that offers an economic "studio" room. The room is compact with a standard bed, kitchenette (with microwave, toaster, coffee maker, silverware and dishes), short kitchen island with 2 bar stools and a very deep bath tub in the bathroom. (People with mobility issues might struggle getting in and out of the tub, even with the handy grab bar.) Given the low water pressure, wait times for a bath would be lengthy. Long wait times for hot water were common at the bathroom sink. The room had a view of the parking lot. All room entrances are indoors. A fitness center with more equipment than many and an indoor pool round out the amenities. The on site restaurant was closed for the xmas holidays. Helpful phone charger on the night stand. Clean and tidy room and hotel public
Pros: oceanfront, Pool, location, exercise room, and hot tub, safety, and quietness were great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms/beds/pillows were comfortable, everything was clean, beds were small. Cons. Parking is limited and spaces are small. We stayed in a suite room. The master was great, but the 2nd bedroom if you use the pull out the couch, you cant shut the bedroom door! So no privacy there. I know its a resort and a hotel, but I really don't want a sales pitch for me to be a member as I booked it as a hotel room. Plus a $200 deposit for incidentals and an additional 50 resort fee. Also for the price they should have had a free breakfast, as the lesser priced resort hotels with the same amenities on the boardwalk do offer it.
Positive: Everything no complaints. Will definitely make this my new hotel spot in VA Beach! Negative: N/A
Beautiful views of the ocean from both the bedroom and the living room of our one-bedroom ocean front unit. This unit had very comfortable furniture. There were a queen bed and a sleep sofa in the bedroom and another sleep sofa in the living room. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals. The table had seating for six. We enjoyed it so much that we have booked a two-bedroom unit for 4 nights in May and plan to take my wife's sister with us. I would also like to recommend the Icehouse restaurant. It is a local restaurant with good food and reasonable prices.
Old resort, so don't expect things to be new. Its clean but doesn't feel luxurious. Their rooms were of good size. We needed a 2 bedroom and they had an option of two adjacent rooms behind a door which worked out perfect for us. Getting a 2 bedroom option with a really good ocean view for both rooms is really awesome.
