Bldg 920 Hickam

Overall not a bad place to stay. Bed was comfy. Room is just the basics, nothing fancy but still worth it. Getting around post isn’t too bad and there is a beach area kinda nearby.

Lodging on Hickam is subpar. The rooms are ok and the maids do a great job but the area is so bad looking with so many condemned buildings, including the tennis court, surrounding it. The ice maker is broken and the nearest vending machine is a few buildings down. Plus, it's on the flight path so it can get loud. But if you go to the edge you can almost see the ocean...

It was clean for an antiquated bldg, and what we needed for a last minute stay. Otherwise, cannot really recommend 130 USD for a one night stay located away from any other facilities. To better explain, we arrived in a taxi and had to walk 1.2 miles from main filleting to B920 @.2100-ish. Then, there was no vending, water, food, and/or alcohol available nearby. Again if fit very basic needs, but otherwise would not like to repeat the experience under similar circumstances.

Room was nice, however the wifi was slower then my network speed. Location was nice, but a long walk from the BX and larger food options.

Stayed for a week attending a symposium at PACAF HQ. Room was well maintained and the housekeeping service was great. For the price, it was highly recommended for TDYs in Hawaii.
