Black River Trails Campground

I was looking for a last minute campground in the South Haven area and came across BRTC and I'm glad I did. This campground is conveniently located, surrounded by nature and provides ample camping spaces all either on or with a view of the Black River. They even provide a kayaking service where you paddle back to the campground. I'm looking forward to see their continuous improvements. I'll be back next year and bringing friends.

Nestled between the turns of the Black River- This campground is under new ownership and the owner is actively improving the campsites and facilities. It is 15 minutes from South Haven and other restaurants. It’s is adjacent to a preserve that offers about 3.5 miles of trails.

Convenient location, small but decent tent plot right next to a pretty river. Bathroom and shower facilities were clean as far as camp facilities go, if a little out of date, but functional so no points docked there. Service was great, desk staff were kind and courteous and a staff member made rounds on a golf cart to check on us and ask if we needed anything multiple times and delivered firewood to us. The only reason I docked a star is because there doesn’t seem to be an enforced quiet time. A house in the center which I assume to be the owners played loud country music until 11pm Friday night and our neighbors had an audible and distracting phone conversation including raucous laughter until 1am the next night. Otherwise no complaints!

Fantastic camp spot freshly updated and get this clean vault toilets! plenty of tent and rv spots firewood on site for a good price too. owners and staff are super helpful also have not kayaked yet but they are here for rent too

This campground was amazing and the owners were even better. Extremely friendly and helpful. The campground is secluded , and feels away from everything - but it’s also only two minutes from town and restaurants and stores. Its also about five minutes from some of the best beaches of lower Michigan. I can’t rave enough about the owners and how kind they were. They didn’t hoover . We’re super laid back, and were so friendly, everything was extremely accommodating and they made sure we had everything we needed and that everything was comfortable. I will Definitely be back to stay here again.
