Lake Bluff Inn & Suites

Overall we enjoyed our stay here. We love its location on the lake and the access to the water. We love that we are at the edge of town for a little more quiet atmosphere but a short drive to dining and shopping. The only issue stopping me from giving it a full 5 star review is 1 no secondary lock on the door and 2 our fire place didn’t work (room 49)

Positive: Location: next to the water, close to downtown but quiet. Negative: It needs to be remodeled. Needs better upkeep. Cobwebs outside on furniture. Pool is rundown.

Our experience here was incredible! The room was perfect and spotlessly clean. Patty and Michael in the office were so friendly and helpful! They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and let us know the best places to eat and explore. Most of all, the views were absolutely stunning! We could not have asked for a more beautiful setting. Watching the sunset on the lounge chairs down by the water was just gorgeous. It is in a great location, as well. Only about 5-7 minutes from the down town area and there was even a Meijer close by. We were so very impressed with the whole place. There was also a game room and a very nice fitness area. What a gem…booked a king room last minute for a little overnight getaway…wow, was I impressed. Having worked at a country inn in VT back in the ‘90’s I was impressed, first, by their maintenance, from lobby to room, everything looked fresh. Room, while a little kitschy with a two person hot tub in the room, was wonderful, especially that hot tub with a gorgeous view of the lake. Our room also was a “stand alone”, all walls were outside walls and we were on the second floor. There were great seating areas right outside the room and their ‘beach’ a short walk away. Room was clean and bright with, as I said, amazing views of the lake. We’ll be back.

Our visit was in the off-season. The only reason it wasn't five star was because the gym and sauna was closed for the season. And that's understandable. Great place we will come back
