Hampton Inn South Haven

Horrible experience. Staff unfriendly and rude. No working elevator. Didn’t get asked for ID at check in. Could not control our own heat in room and thermostat was broke. No explanation. Breakfast was nasty and staff again, rude! Got harassed about check out while we were using the hot tub. Never had such a terrible experience. We checked out by 1130 and they deactivated our card. Hotel smelled of weed and the remodel? What a joke, tape all over rooms, tub was janky and bed terribly uncomfortable. Should’ve went to a holiday inn at this point!

Hotel is undergoing construction. This was posted on website. Room on first floor. The shower in our room was not working correctly. The temperature and water flow couldn’t be regulated. We were there 2 nights. The first night at 330 am the phone in the room next to us began ringing. It rang until 430am. When contacting the front desk at about 4am I was told he was an employee and they were attempting to wake him for work. The next day I reported this to front desk and was told the same thing. The second night the phone started again at 330, rang 5 times, stopped and rang again in 5 minutes again until 430. The breakfast was ok. We will use another brand next time while in south haven. As a diamond member I didn’t feel valued by Hilton. This hotel does Not represent what Hilton is

Positive: "" Negative: Elevator wasn’t working (we were on the first floor), baseboards were missing on the entire room, tv had a broken row of pixels running all the way doe it…room looked like it was under construction.

They did some upgrades to the hotel and it seems a lot cleaner and very comfortable to stay in. Absolutely love that there was a charging pad to charge your phone and that on the other side of the bed where there was a plug for another charger. These little things really make a difference. There was plenty of towels which really is another nice little extra that I pay attention to. Nothing's more aggravating than running out of clean wash cloths or towels in a hotel room. We love getting two beds in the room cuz we snagged the extra pillows which are comfortable and for some strange reason we always sleep better at this hotel than at home. ....... Say there again .... I really like the fair... Breakfast food was actually better this time with cheese omelettes, roasted potatoes... And k

This place has bed bugs. The sheets were marked up with bed bug spots, but the manager insisted it was from an ink pen in the wash. Do not stay here. Not only do they have bed bugs, they either will not own up to it or they are too dumb to know it. Maintenance said they would need to heat the room then backtracked later at the front desk when discuss a room refund and said he didn’t know what the spots were. I was only given a partial refund of my points for “dirty sheets”
